The Calgary Stampede is right around the corner with only 57 days until the greatest outdoor show on earth opens it’s gates. To help get the excitement going Calgary Stampede officials welcome Media to a taste testing of some creations for the upcoming Midway.
Kyle Russell, Director of Programing for the Stampede shared with media what Stampede goes can expect when it comes to tasty treats.

With classic favorites like mini doubts, Family Squeeze Lemonade is taking it one step further with their creation that looks similar to bubble tea. However, if you try it you’d swear you’re having a mini donut.

As there are many classics that will be at the Midway there will also be international treats and Indigenous favors like bannock burgers from Treaty 7. Among the excitement of showing cultural treats was Arepas Ranch excited to share Venezuelan street food at the Stampede. They also shared with CJWE the difference between Venezuelan food and Mexican.

The Calgary Stampede will be be kicking off July 7 and wrapping up July 16. Tickets and schedules are available on the Calgary Stampede’s website but, you’ll have to wait for the food map as vendors are still being assigned areas for Calgary’s greatest out door show.
