In an extremely exciting championship final heat, Fike captured the Dewberry crown with a penalty free run of 1:09.09 after coming off of barrel position number 1 in the championship final. Vern Nolin from barrel position number 3 placed second in the heat, 49 one-hundredths of a second behind the winner Chad Fike, with Dustin Gorst placing third from barrel position number 2 in a penalty free heat.
As far as day results go, it was former Dewberry champion Obrey Motowylo, driving the VJV Livestock Marketing Group – Ponoka, Westlock, Rimbey Outfit who had not only the fastest time of the afternoon with a 1:08.16, but the fast time of the race meet from barrel number 2 in the fifth heat.
The WPCA Pro Tour will now move onto Medicine Hat, Alberta for the running of the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede starting on Thursday, June 22, 2023 and running through to Sunday, June 25, 2022.
