With just a few days to go until the Alberta Summer Games, organizers are still looking for volunteers.
The games run July 20-23 in Okotoks and Diamond Valley.
Games manager Marica Borovich-Law says that volunteers are in need for transportation and security.
She said one of the needs in the security portfolio is for volunteers at each of the venues to provide directions, ensure youngsters aren’t left unattended, help locate lost items and more.
“We’re looking for individuals that are moms actually that can help people. So, it’s more of a public relations role than a security role, if you know what I mean,” she said.
Anyone interested in volunteering can visit 2023asg.com/volunteer.
The Summer Games will see 3,000 athletes, coaches and officials descend on the two communities for competition in 14 sports.
