As the Town of Okotoks is getting ready to kick off the various events that will be taking place in the town for the 2023 Alberta Summer Games. The town has fully opened its new pump track to the public.
The new track is located at Bill Robertson Park off Railway Street and will be available to accommodate BMX and mountain bikes, skateboarding, inline skating, and scooters. The track will offer a challenge for all skill levels with quick turns, banks to gentler paths for those trying out a new sport.
“The Okotoks Pump Track represents the collective efforts of our community, and we couldn’t be prouder of the result.” said Rod March, Parks Manger for the Town of Okotoks. “We are confident that this track will foster a sense of unity, friendship and healthy competition among residents, making it a cornerstone of our town’s recreational landscape”.
The track will be open year long so long it is clear of snow and ice during the winter months.
Due to the enormous number of visitors to the town of Okotoks during the Alberta Summer Games using Bill Robertson Park for parking, locals are encouraged to either bike, skate or scoot their way to the new track during the games.
