Three-time world champion hoop dancer, Quentin Pipestem from the Tsuu’Tina Nation has taken a lifelong love of Indigenous Culture and art and turned it in to a business idea that could win him $25000 dollars to help fund his dream of the Turtle Island Indigenous Arts Center and Historical Villages Park. The Park is a long-term vision for the Tourism industry that will provide hundreds of jobs, support indigenous arts, and become a catalyst for economic development through partnerships with other indigenous entrepreneurs. It will invite tourists, schools, and businesses to take part in cultural educational programming. Quentin stopped by CJWE Studios to tell Uncle Trent all about the Pow Wow Pitch Competition and how you can help him win the $25000 dollars and get him one step closer to his dream. You can hear the entire interview here:

Quentin’s project falls under the Tourism and Startups Pitch, airing September 5th at 7pm ET (5pm Calgary time). To watch the semi-final pitch competition taking place online, people must register at https://www.powwowpitch.org/pitch/.
