For the past 25-years, the Cochrane Humane Society has been helping take care of the various dogs, cats, and animals in-between at their no kill shelter to give them a chance to find a home.
In 2016, the Society has expanded to serve the surrounding areas of Airdrie, MD of Big Horn, Mountain View County, Redwood Meadows, Iyahre Nakoda Nations, and Tsuut’ina Nation.
Cochrane Humane offers a variety of programing from obedience training, lost, and found pets, medical procedures and provides scholarships of $1,500 dollars for students graduating grade 12 for students seeking to enter health degree.
With giving Tuesday taking place November 28, CJWE invited Tiffany Beaton of the Society to the station to talk about the milestone and things to consider when adopting a pet this holiday season.
