Residents of Southern Alberta will soon have the chance to show their skills in the 2024 Southern Alberta Summer Games (SASG) as registration officially opens.

Events will have room for a substantial number of participants, pickleball will be contingent on the outcome of a playoff, those wishing to register for pickleball must first contact their Regional Director.

Along with pickleball, e-sports added back in mid April is limited to fifteen registrants per region and once that limit is met all other registrants will be put on a waiting list.

The Town of Coaldale is excited to host the various sporting groups and sport enthusiasts and as Mark McIntosh, Southern Alberta Summer Games Coordinator for the Town of Coaldale explains, local groups will be hosting small events to give everyone a chance to take part.

“One of these groups is Coaldale Jitney Darts. This group hosts weekly dart tournaments on Tuesday evenings at KC’s Pub and has generously agreed to help make darts a part of the 2024 Games. Thanks go out to Dianne Reid and Teresa Holtrop for their eagerness to share their love of darts and to help bring the event to the Games this July.”

Individuals who are whishing to volunteer at the SASG are asked to contact Mcntosh at 403-345-1324 or by emailing mark.mcintosh@coaldale.ca.

Registration can be done through the SASG website and will close on June 1.
