Members of the Tsuut’ina Nation will be gathering on May 10th to raise awareness for healthy relationships and healthy living within the nation.

This will be incorporated with a Missing Murdered and Exploited Indigenous Peoples walk and Health Fair on Tsuut’ina.

The MMEIP walk first started as a small gathering of 75 people in attendance and as more awareness grew for MMEIP, by 2023 the walk grew to approximately 400 people taking part.

Tsuut’ina’s Health Fair for 2024 has a focus on healthy living through nutrition, physical, and mental health wellbeing.

The events organized by Tsuut’ina Health services are a way to uplift the next generation while finding healing through the challenges that face Indigenous peoples.

Director of Health Services at Tsuut’ina Health Services Lacy Runner explains how moving past a state of crisis will be how the community can move forward.

The MMEIP walk will start at the Bull Head Hall at 10 a.m. and finish at the Seven Chiefs Sportplex and Jim Starlight Memorial Centre where it will join the Health Fair.
