Calgary Police looking for info on serious injury accident involving a cyclist

Calgary Police are continuing to investigate a serious-injury collision involving a cyclist. 

At approximately 11:15 a.m. today, Sunday, May 12, 2024, CPS were called for reports of a collision between a cyclist and an SUV on Macleod Tail, just north of the intersection with 210 Avenue S.E.  

It is believed that the collision occurred in the merge lane from 210 Avenue S.E. onto northbound Macleod Trail. 

The cyclist was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition, where his condition has since been upgraded to stable. The driver of the SUV remained on scene and did not sustain any injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477.
