Calgary’s BMO Centre expansion officially opens Wednesday, after over three years of work and $500 million dollars.
The new Centre is now Western Canada’s largest convention centre.
It includes over a million square feet of floor space as well as the ability to host 33,000 guests at once.
The project broke ground in April 2021, and was brought to life with funding by three levels of government.
The BMO centre was completed on-time and on-budget and is expected to bring in at least $267 million each year.
