With the Calgary Stampede wrapped up on Sunday July 14, many still have a need to dawn their cowboy boots and two-step to the sounds of country music.
Residents in the Cochrane and surrounding area are in luck as the first-time country artists will be making a two-day appearance at the Bow Valley Boot Stomp Country Music Festival from July 19-20.
Headlining the two-day music festival will be legendary country duo Doc Walker and Aaron Goodvin along with rising country artists Kalsey Kulyk, Drew Gregory, and Brandon Lorenzo.
CJWE caught up with organizer Kailey Mitchell of Cochrane based event organization Quirk Social about how the festival got started.

Along with a small taste of Cochrane, a portion of proceeds from the festival will be donated to Cochrane Fire and Rescue Services.
More details about the event can be on Quirk Socials’ website.
