The YYC Music Awards are a night to celebrate the rich musical scene in the city of Calgary and those who have played roles in the culture.
For 2024, the Awards will be hosted at the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino’s event Centre on September 29 at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s awards will include an Indigenous music category to highlight the Indigenous talent in Calgary.
Artists nominated for the first include:
- Ashley Ghostkeeper
- Jessica McMann
- Miesha Louie of Miesha and The Spanks
- sean beaver
- Shane Ghostkeeper
- Troy Kokol
Artists nominated for Country recording of the year include:
- Cole Malone – Ain’t No Way She’s Coming Back
- Drew Gregory – Neon Time
- Shane Ghostkeeper – Songs For My People
- Steve Pointmeier – Cheatin on Beer
- The Hello Darlins – In the Sundust
