The Alberta Day of Caring for Jasper was raising money for the Jasper Wildfire evacuees, has released their final numbers, as the amount skyrocketed over the August long weekend.
Between July 31st and Aug. 6th over $973,158.00 raised across the province.
Both the federal and provincial government pledged matching donations, to the relief effort, tripling the overall donation to $2,919,474.
Over the long weekend, bottle depots remained open as they were still accepting recycling donations for the Jasper fund.
the Red Cross will use every dollar raised toward the Jasper relief effort.
