The Emergency Department (ED) at the Fort Macleod Health Centre will be closed from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 until 9:00 p.m., according to AHS.
Anyone requiring emergency care is asked to phone 911. EMS calls will be redirected to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge. The closure is due to a lack of physician coverage.
Emergency medical services will be available to residents a=at the Pincher Creek Health Centre, Cardston Health Centre, or Chinook Regional Hospital.
There will be nursing staff in Fort Macleod to care for long term residents.
