While the Calgary Flames are set to host the LA Kings this Saturday, the game will also give sports fans across the world a glimpse of Indigenous culture in Southern Alberta.

One of the special exhibits that will be presented includes the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame which will be sharing the stories of various Indigenous athletes who’ve made an impact in sports history.
As part of the opening skate for the Flames, Indigenous youth skaters from each Nation will be represented while skating with their Nation’s flag.
The Canadian National Anthem will be sung in the Blackfoot language followed by the ceremonial puck drop at 8 p.m.
