Embracing an essential element of Canadian Culture while getting the whole family out to celebrate was the theme of this past Saturday in Canmore. Hockey Day in Canada brought fun, community sporting spirit and the Stanley Cup to the town on its 25th year running.
Karli Fleury, an organizer for the Rundle Women’s Hockey League, shares some of the excitement and how diversity was encouraged in the event:
Ron MacLean, Kevin Bieksa, Kelly Hrudey, Jennifer Botteril, Elliotte Friedman, Kyle Bukauskis and other prominent voices and players were all also there to support the occasion.
