Nominations announced for the 2025 Juno Awards

The biggest night of Canadian music is around the corner and this year’s nominees have been announced.

In Country Music, two standouts include Josh Ross who has been nominated for five awards which include, Artist of the Year, Single, Album of the Year and Tik-Tok Fan Choice Award along with his nomination for Best Country Album.

Along with winning awards at the previous CCMA’s in Edmonton, Singer/Songwriter Owen Riegling has been nominated for Breakout Artist of the Year

One of the biggest surprises for the Community of Mînî Thnî is Drew Van Allen who works at Nakoda Elementary School has been nominated for the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award.

MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS and The JUNO Awards, will recognize one Canadian music educator’s impact not only on students but also on their community and the music education field.

Van Allen is the only teacher who works at an Indigenous School to be nominated this year and is the only one to be nominated in Western Canada.

The 54 Juno Awards will be held in Vancouver on Saturday, March 29, and Sunda, March 30 with Michael Bublé hosting.
