In the early hours of February 10, 2025, the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service assisted the Calgary Police Service in stopping a stolen vehicle that had entered the Nation’s lands.
At approximately 1:20 AM, CPS informed Tosguna that they were following a stolen vehicle traveling southbound from Calgary via Grey Eagle Drive. The CPS Helicopter Air Watch provided aerial tracking of the vehicle as it continued south through the tunnel on Weaselhead Road.
A response led to a successful intervention when a Tosguna officer deployed stop sticks, bringing the vehicle to a halt.
Officers then conducted a high-risk traffic stop, taking the suspect into custody without further incident. The suspect was turned over to CPS for further investigation.
“Tosguna remains committed to working collaboratively with regional law enforcement partners to ensure the safety and security of the Tsuut’ina Nation and surrounding communities”
