Medicine Hat Tigers secure first WHL Eastern Conference playoff spot

The Medicine Hat Tigers have become the first team in the Eastern Conference of the WHL to clinch a spot in the upcoming 2025 playoffs.

This came after a 5 – 1 dominating victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Family Day at Co-Op Place.

The night was also a milestone for forward Gavin McKenna current Rookie of the Year, who gained his thirtieth WHL goal.

WHL plays will kick off on Friday, March 28 after the regular season ends on March 23.

Medicine Hat Tigers will be back in action Friday as they host the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Currenty in the Western Conference, the Everett Silvertips, Victoria Royals, and Spokane Chiefs have been able to secure a spot in the playoffs.
