As the warm weather and spring arrive, local Police services across Alberta remind everyone to watch for motorcycle riders on the roads.

Drivers are advised to be extra vigilant for motorcycles and not to follow too closely behind motorcyclists, who may need to stop suddenly or swerve to avoid potholes and obstacles on the road.  Motorcyclists are also encouraged to be aware that they are not as easily visible to drivers.

Riders should avoid being in automobilists’ blind spots when possible.  And it’s essential for motorcyclists to gear up properly with appropriate safety equipment, like approved helmets, jackets, boots, and high-visibility clothing, to stay safe while enjoying their rides.

Let’s all enjoy the warmer weather and share the road safely!
