Youth between the ages of nine and 17 will have an opportunity to get free basketball coaching from Calgary’s professional basketball team, the Surge.
The weekly clinics are scheduled to run from June 30 to Oct. 4 at Century Gardens Basketball Courts (826 8 Ave. S.W.).
Jason Ribeiro is the Vice-Chairman and President of the Calgary Surge.
The exact number of youth able to take part in the clinics would be a result of both interest, and capacity.
There will also be a 3-on-3 basketball tournament later in the summer, with more details coming soon.
Calgary Surge players and coaches will make special appearances at the events.
Whether you’re a rising basketball star, a first-time dribbler or just looking for something fun to do, this summer series is for you. Don’t miss your shot – grab your friends, hit the court and be part of the action downtown.
