10 suspects charged after Human Trafficking investigation on the Tsuut’ina Nation

Members of the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service in partnership with the Calgary Police Service recently launched an operation- Project Buffalo, to combat the purchasing of sexual services from underage Indigenous girls.

Earlier this month, Project Buffalo saw multiple individuals arrange meetings for sexual services with minors.

10 males were arrested totaling 31 charges including Luring a Child for the Purpose of Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration from a Person Under 18 years,  Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration from a Person Under 18 years, Invitation to Sexual Touching Under 16 years of age .

According to Tsuu’tina Police, suspects were non-nation members.
