Aboriginal Awareness Week Calgary will be hosting their annual National Indigenous Family Day & Powwow.
Happening this Saturday at the Enmax Park, Elbow River Camp Calgary Stampede Grounds June 14, 2025.
This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend.
The site will open at 10:00 am and closing at 6:00 pm.
Feature attractions include: Indigenous Arts & Craft Market, Exhibitions of Inuit and Metis, Children’s corner, Handgames, and Powwow.
This year’s theme is “Keeping the Circle Strong through the Sacred Relationship with Mother Earth.” Highlighting on the connection that First Nations, Metis, and Inuit communities have with Mother Earth and water. Some of the overall messages include empowering the next generation by reclaiming cultural knowledge and education within their communities and keeping the circle strong with traditions, songs, dances, and Indigenous languages.
