Medicine Hat hosts Canada Day Festival

Celebrate Canada Day with Medicine Hat. This two day festival will be on June 30th and July 1st  at the Kin Coulee Park.

You can expect the delicious food, hands on cultural activities, pancake breakfast, citywide yoga, family activities, sporting events, and local entertainment and fireworks.

Davie James from the Medicine Hat Skateboarding Association and Canada day committee member shares the importance of giving back to the community by stating, “we just really want people to understand that this is our way of giving back to the community every year, it’s not going to cost an arm and leg, we just want people to come out and enjoy it.”

One of the main attractions of the two-day festival is the annual Beat The Heat 2025, Canada’s largest amateur Skateboarding competition. Held on June 30th and July 1st at the Kinsmen Skate Plaza in Medicine Hat, Alberta. This event has been ongoing since 2007 and they have over 25,000 in cash and prizes for beginners, intermediate, bowl competition, and a big spectacle. Davie James shares more:
