Here are more details:
📅 Tuesday, July 1, 2025
📍George Lane Park – 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
📍Emerson Lake – 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Join High River on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, for a full day of free, family-friendly Canada Day celebrations. The festivities kick off at George Lane Park from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., where you’ll find classic cars, a community market, interactive games, balloon twisters, surprise visits from superheroes, and a Canada Day cake cutting at 2:00 p.m. Food trucks will be on-site.
In the evening, head over to Emerson Lake from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. and join special guest MC Sarah Scott for live music and fireworks. The concert will be set up at the intersection of 9 Street SE and 9 Avenue SE. Enjoy performances by Hillside Outlaws, Backyard Betties, and Ribeye Cap, followed by a fireworks display to close out the night. Bring your lawn chair and settle in for a great evening. Food trucks will be available throughout the event.
For the safety and comfort of all, we kindly request that you leave pets at home, as large crowds and fireworks may be distressing for them.
Road closures will be in place to support event safety. George Lane Park will be closed to vehicle traffic. 9 Street SE will be closed from 6 Avenue SE to 9 Avenue SE, and 9 Avenue SE will be closed from 9 Street SE to 12 Street SE. Access to 9 Avenue SE from 10 and 11 Street SE will also be closed. Please use caution and watch for increased foot traffic in these areas.
