The Medicine Hat Special Olympic Team brought home 3 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals after competing at the Provincial Special Olympics in Grand Prairie on July 11 to 13.
The three gold medals included one in Softball, one Ten Pin Bowling, and one in Bochy Ball.
The team this year included 20 athletes, and the medalists will be qualifying for the National Special Olympics coming up in August 2026. An announcement will be this fall 2025 announcing who will be representing Medicine Hat at Nationals.
