Every year, for the past 41 years, children’s hospitals across Canada team up with Dairy Queen for Miracle Treat Day to raise money through the sales of Dairy Queen’s famous frozen treat, the Blizzard.

2025 marks the 22nd anniversary of Miracle Treat Day, which has been supporting the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary. During that time, the hospital has raised well over eight million dollars.

The hospital serves all the children and their families in Southern Alberta, and through the support of Miracle Treat Day, it can support 100 thousand visitors each year.

To mark this milestone, Mike Wood of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation stopped by the studio to talk with Nefew Keith about this special day.

Besides grabbing a Blizzard, donations can be made on Dairy Queen’s official Miracle Day website.

Those wishing to support the Alberta Children’s Hospital directly can do so through the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation’s official website.
