The Town of High River Celebrates Alberta Day With A Concert

By Sarah Scott Aug 25, 2025 | 12:28 PM

On Friday, Aug. 29, High River, the Foothills and area  (and of course all Albertans) are invited to celebrate 120 years of culture, innovation and community spirit as Alberta marks a major milestone with the Town of High River.

Alberta was established as a province on Sept. 1, 1905, through the Alberta Act and today Sept. 1 is known as Alberta Day.

This year, High River is making Alberta Day a family fun evening celebration concert.

The festivities kick off at 7pm in George Lane Memorial Park with a rising young local star and a very talented rockin’ country band.

Heather Ross, Special Events Coordinator for the Town of High River tells us more:

What: Alberta Concert Day // Where: George Lane Memorial Park, High River, Alberta. // When: 7pm-10pm // Who: Amelia Paquette and Memphis and the Grand.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray.
