Alzheimer’s disease is a chronic neurodegenerative disease that destroys brain cells, causing thinking ability and memory to decline over time. Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging and is irreversible.
Since a young age, Canadian country music singer-songwriter Devin Cooper has witnessed the effects of the disease, having visited his mother at work and volunteered in an AHS extended care facility when he was seven years old.
Back in 2019, Devin began the Ride to Remember fundraiser, combining his love of motorcycles and the people who are affected by Alzheimer’s.
Since then, Devin has helped raise well over $100 thousand for Alzheimer’s Calgary through his charity concert that will be taking place at the National Music Centre on September 21, 2025.
Devin came into the CJWE studio in Calgary to share what is going on for the sixth annual fundraiser and his goal of raising $60 thousand for Alzheimer’s Calgary.
Find all the details about the night and how to donate through Devin’s official website.
