Don’t Miss the 7th Annual Fall Harvest Celebration at Land of Dreams Urban Farm!

The 7th Annual Fall Harvest Celebration at Land of Dreams Urban Farm is just around the corner and it’s an event you won’t want to miss.

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, starting at 12:00 p.m., the Land of Dreams Urban Farm alongside Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) will host this much-loved community gathering, bringing together Calgary’s newcomer, Indigenous, and broader communities to celebrate cultural diversity and connection to the land and one another.

Expect a vibrant afternoon of multicultural performances, potluck-style cuisine, and family-friendly activities, all leading into an evening of cultural sharing and dance. Organizers are encouraging everyone to attend and help amplify the voices and stories of the city’s wonderful and diverse communities.

We spoke with Rod Olson, Project Manager for Land of Dreams, about the significance of this annual event and everything you can expect to experience.

Land of Dreams is located on a 30-acre plot of public land in southeast Calgary and is energized by various ethnic community associations and guided by Blackfoot elder, Herman Many Guns. We offer refugees a safe space to connect with the Indigenous community, supporting their healing processes, educating them about the land’s history, and reconnecting them with their skills in farming brought here from their home countries. Land of Dreams is led by a passionate team committed to creating a welcoming environment for newcomers. – Courtesy of CCIS Website
