Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services are charging into Fire Safety week with a strong focus on prevention and preparedness – reminding residents that small actions can make a big difference.
Chief Fire Marshal Troy Hicks tells CJWE the crew has been bust engaging with citizens at locations like Park Place Mall and local seniors’ centers, spreading awareness on fire prevention and battery safety.
Hicks says the community response has been overwhelmingly positive, with hundreds learning more about safe disposal and recycling practices.
Hicks adds that educating the youth on proper charging habits and fire prevention is key to building to a safer future and community.
