By Daniel Barker-Tremblay Oct 10, 2025 | 11:50 AM

The Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary is set to host the Traditional Owl Dance on October 16 from 5 to 8 P.M at the Calgary Marlborough Community Association – inviting community members to come together for an evening of culture, dance, and celebration.

Krista White with the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary spoke with CJWE, saying the Traditional Owl Dance serves as a cultural and social gathering that brings families and the community together.

White highlights that the significance of the Traditional Owl Dance lies in fostering community and connection, while continuing to uphold a culturally safe space for everyone.

White hopes attendees will leave knowing the event is about socializing and enjoying the singing and dancing alongside the community.
