More victims have come forward with allegations of sexual assault against a Drumheller businessman.

On August 13, 2025, the Drumheller RCMP entered into a sexual assault investigation.

A victim had come forward to the police and disclosed a series of sexual assaults, which had happened over several years while they were a youth.

The suspect was the employer of the youth at a local business.

As a result of that investigation, the Drumheller RCMP charged 59-year-old Bernard Germain, a Drumheller resident, with the following:

  • Sexual assault
  • Sexual interference

Germain appeared in court on October 17, but the RCMP continued their investigation, because they believed there were more victims.

They asked the public to come forward with any similar type of incidents.

Shortly after the initial media release, three more victims came forward with allegations of sexual assault while they were employed by Germain.

Those allegations were investigated, and further charges have now been laid.

Germain has further been charged with:

  •  Sexual assault (x3)
  • Sexual interference (x3)
  • Sexual exploitation (x3)

Germain has been released from custody to appear in court on November 21, 2025.
