Ryan and Rory Are Really Fun and You Really Need to See Them Live!

By Sarah Scott Nov 27, 2025 | 5:05 PM

We caught up with Ryan and Rory, the southern country duo who’ve been making waves and are now gearing up to open for opening up for the James Barker Band at Cowboys Dancehall on Nov. 27th!

They joined CJWE to chat about the excitement of that upcoming show, their brand-new single, “Lawn Chair in the Living Room,” and how they celebrated American Thanksgiving on the road.

We also looked back at some of their biggest highlights from this year and talked about what they’re hoping for, for the year ahead.

More about Ryan and Rory:

Their party-starter “Pour Decisions” launched their career with their self-titled debut EP, available everywhere. Ryan Follesé is a Nashville native, 2X PLATINUM #1 hit singer-songwriter, and American Music Award winner. Rory John Zak, from Raleigh, North Carolina, is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who’s played over 300 shows annually since age 17. They’ve opened for Brett Young, Sam Hunt, Jamey Johnson, and Tyler Braden, and were hailed by MusicRow as poised “to make major waves on the country music scene.” Ryan co-wrote all six tracks on the debut EP, with Rory adding his signature instrumentals and harmonies. The project spans vibrant anthems like “Pour Decisions” and “This Town” (a Billboard “must-hear”), and they’ve followed with emotional ballads like “What’s Mine Is Yours” and rowdy, racy romps like “Truck Stop.” With “commercial polish and good-natured, honest storytelling” (The Tennessean), Ryan and Rory are “the next heir apparent to the country duo throne” (Country Swag), and “poised to be a staple on countless playlists” (PopCulture). Ryan and Rory now return with “Lawn Chair In The Living Room,” a wry, heart-forward look at life before love, and close out the year on the road with the James Barker Band and John Morgan’s Friends Like That Tour. – Courtesy of https://www.bbrmusicgroup.com/
