Nakoda Emergency Management is warning that contaminated drugs may have been brought onto Stoney Nakoda Nations.
Today (December 11, 2025), Nakoda Emergency Management took to Facebook to alert the public to the possibility that a contaminated drug or drugs may have been brought to the Nation.
This is due to Nakoda Fire and Nakoda Emergency Medical Services responding to 4 accidental overdoses today.
These drugs are causing people to suffer cardiac incidents and respiratory trauma.
“If you know someone who has a substance-use issue, PLEASE, pass on this information to them,” the Nakoda Emergency Management stated on Facebook. “Be careful, Be prepared, Save Lives.”
