The Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service have charged a person in connection to a violent, targeted assault from last year on Tsuut’ina Nation.
At roughly 5:15 p.m. on January 14, 2024, the victim was returning to his parked vehicle after shopping at a business on Buffalo Run Blvd, and at that time, he was confronted by a man armed with a hammer.
The man with the hammer struck the victim multiple times in the head and face, causing the victim to sustain several lacerations and serious, life-altering injuries.
Following an investigation, it was determined the assault was a targeted attack, which was orchestrated by a third party.
On December 9, 2025, the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service arrested an individual who is alleged to have arranged the attack.
Mohammed Nezam UDDIN has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
A second suspect, the one believed to be the individual who carried out the attack, remains at large.
