Miss Indigenous Canada celebrates the indigenous culture, traditions, and more.

The event will be held at the Sanderson Centre on July 24, 2026, in Bradford, Ontario.

Featuring 20 contestants from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities across Canada.

It was launched back in May 2024 and has grown across Canada.

The mission is to empower and encourage Indigenous youth to develop leadership skills, give back to their communities, and connect with their cultures.

It’s a community leadership development program for Indigenous youth between 18-30.

CJWE talks with Director of Miss Indigenous Canada, Aleria McKay says “Miss Indigenous Canada is about supporting each other and growth.  It’s not about getting a crown or a title, it’s about improving yourself and go back to the community and  make a positive change”.
