Award-winning Two-Spirit Mohawk artist Shawnee Kish is quickly becoming one of Canada’s most compelling voices in alternative country.
Based in Edmonton, her soaring vocals blend country, soul, rock and folk, showcased across projects like Chapter 1 and Pray For Me.
A three-time Juno Awards nominee and winner of the CBC Music Searchlight Competition, Kish has performed everywhere from the Calgary Stampede to World Expo Dubai, and even shared stages with Lady Gaga. Known for her powerful live presence and advocacy work, Shawnee continues to shape a bold, contemporary voice in Indigenous and Canadian music.
Shawnee now has another feather in her cap! A Country Music Alberta Award nomination for Female Artist of the Year!
