The Strathmore Fire Department is launching its fourth annual food drive, which will run from February 26 to March 6. The food drive brings together local groups in Strathmore to help stock the Wheatland Food Bank for the upcoming months.
David Sturgeon, Fire Chief and Director of Emergency Management for the Town of Strathmore, tells CJWE that the department is aiming to surpass last year’s goal of just under 5,500 pounds of food collected.
The food bank is currently seeking canned goods and toiletries, but they welcome other types of donations as well. If anyone does not receive a donation bag at their door, they can still drop off items at the fire hall.
