Alberta’s top athletes from communities north of the 55th parallel are heading to Whitehorse, Yukon for the 2026 Arctic Winter Games, running March 8 to 15. The province is investing more than $980,000 to support a delegation of 282 athletes, cultural performers, coaches and mission staff, covering training, travel and team operations.
Tourism and Sport Minister Andrew Boitchenko tells CJWE the province of Alberta is proud to invest in Team Alberta and is wishing the athletes the best as they compete and aim to bring home the gold and silver medals.
