There is more snow on the way for Southern Alberta this week, following flurries over the weekend.

According to Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, Alysa Pederson, snow could be returning to Southern Alberta from down south.

Pederson adds that currently their forecasts show there could be more snow during this upcoming weekend as well.

While the meteorological spring began on March 1st, with actual spring right around the corner, March and April often see the most amount of snowfall in the region, prompting Pederson to remind people to keep their snow shovels handy.

This new snowfall comes after a snowfall warning for much of the southern part of the province on the weekend.

Also, this past weekend saw the Okotoks area receiving significantly more snow than Calgary.

Pederson goes on to explain how Okotoks and Calgary could receive such a big difference in snowfall.
