Taber has been named the provincial winner of the 2026 Kraft Hockeyville contest, meaning the community will receive $50,000 for upgrades to its arena. Twelve other communities across Canada were also recognized, including Blaine Lake, SK, and Tumbler Ridge, BC, among others.
Meghan Brennan, the town’s Communications Manager, tells CJWE that they are very grateful to have made it this far in the competition.
Taber will now await the judges’ decision on the top two finalists, which will be announced on Saturday, March 21.
