Lethbridge Food Bank Anticipates Spike as Spring Approaches

By Jackson Fontaine Mar 20, 2026 | 1:34 PM

The Lethbridge Food Bank is gearing up for what could be a busy season. The organization has remained consistent throughout the winter season, serving close to 100 households each month.

Darren Babin, the Operations Manager at the food bank, tells CJWE that they typically receive between 100,000 and 200,000 pounds of food each month from local stores and businesses.

With Easter approaching quickly, Babin anticipates an increase in demand for the food bank’s services.
