Laudan Park in Okotoks has introduced a space for grieving and reflection. A wind phone has been installed to provide residents with a symbolic way to connect with loved ones who have passed away. Although the phone is not connected to any networks, it serves as a quiet space where people can speak aloud.
Gita Ward, Clinic Owner of True Living Counselling and Coaching Inc in Okotoks, tells CJWE that she is the one who started the project.
Ward explained that the concept originated in Japan in 2010 but is now found in various locations around the world.
