Tsuut’ina Nation Police recovered stolen property following a break-and-enter at construction site

The Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service recovered stolen property and have laid charges, after a break-and-enter at a construction site in the Taza development.

On March 25, the Tsuut’ina Nation Police received a call about a break-and-enter at an active construction site.

On top of that, approximately $10,000 worth of equipment had been stolen the day prior.

A thorough investigation was completed in partnership with the construction company and the Calgary Police Service, officers were able to track down the stolen property to a residence and a storage facility in Calgary.

Search warrants were executed at both of those locations, which lead to the recovery of the stolen items.

As a result, 55-year-old Jesse Marshal and 47-year-old Cindy Auclair, both Calgary residents, have been charged with possession of stolen property and are scheduled to appear in Tsuut’ina Court.

“We kindly remind all contractors and community members to ensure work sites and equipment are secured, especially in our active development areas,” the Tsuut’ina Nation Police stated in a Facebook post about this incident. “Let’s work together to keep our community safe.”
