SAIT to Host Community Round Dance on April 11

Southern Alberta Institute of Technology will host a Community Round Dance on April 11 from 12 – 4 p.m. at the Stand Grad Building, bringing students, staff and the wider community together to celebrate Indigenous culture, ceremony, and connection through song and dance.

Jennifer Russell, Director of Indigenous Engagement at SAIT shares with CJWE her excitement for the annual Community Round Dance, highlighting its roles in bringing together the SAIT community and Calgarians.

Russell highlights Natoyspoyiis – “Holy Wind Lodge” Indigenous housing celebrating 25 years of supporting Indigenous students as a home away from home, and aims to extend that same welcoming spirit to all attendees of the Community Round Dance.
