The Town of Okotoks is hosting another Powwow and Tipi Camp this summer.
Desmond Jackson, the Indigenous Relations Advisor for the Town of Okotoks, explains a bit about the event.
2025 was the first year that the Town of Okotoks hosted a Powwow, while the market and Tipi Camp are in their fourth year.
According to Jackson, this event commemorates June 3, 2023.
The Powwow is a competition powwow, and anyone who is a powwow dancer can take part.
This event is free for everyone to attend.
