The City of Medicine Hat is looking for public input in the process of refreshing its Land Use Bylaw.
Residents interested in voicing their opinions can submit feedback through a community survey on the city of Medicine hat website.
The goal of the Land Use Bylaw refresh is to better align with the policies of the Municipal Development Plan, passed by City Council in 2020.
The current version of the Land Use Bylaw was passed in 2013.
A Land Use Bylaw not only controls development by categorizing all properties in a city into various land use districts, but it also governs what land use can occur on every piece of property, all while establishing a system for issuing development permits.
Residents are invited to complete the survey by July 31, 2024 at the City of Medicine Hat website. The city will also make additional public engagement opportunities after the draft document has been complete.
