Taking a look around the grounds of the 2024 Medicine Hat Stampede

From Dogs Shows to high-speed rodeo to live music, there is something for everyone at the annual Medicine Hat Stampede.

With high winds blowing away some of the smoke, the second day of the Medicine Hat Stampede made it easier for residents to enjoy the day.

One of the staples of the Stampede is the Prairie Dog dog show which has been a attraction at the Stampede for the past 30 years.

Organizer Carri Munir explains, they are taking measures to ensure man’s best friend says cool.

 

One of the ways visitors can cool down is by checking out local agriculture corner which holds sheep shearing demonstration every two hours during the Stampede.

This also includes a display of works of art in various forms including, quilts, woodworks, baking and more.

President of the Cactus Rose the Cactus Rose Quilters Guild Janice Croissant in Medicine Hat explains the important of displaying the various of talents in the community.

 

Every year the Medicine Hat Stampede has over eight hundred volunteers help facilitate guests from around the province.

Day three of the Stampede will include a performance from James Baker Band at 9 p.m. at the grandstand.
