For past four years members of the Stoney Nakoda Nations and surrounding communities have gathered for a 2.8km walk in the spirit of Reconciliation.
The walk over the years has created a closer partnership between the communities of Mini Thni and Cochrane with shuttles being supplied by COALT transit.
CJWE caught up with organizer Eve Power to learn more about the upcoming walk.
Those who are wishing to join the walk are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Iyahrhe Iyare Nakoda Food Bank who is being assisted by Helping Hands Society of Cochrane.
Everyone is advised to dress for the weather and have a good pair of shoes for the walk.
More details about the walk can be found on the CJWE events calendar.
